Chip carving knives

Chip carving knife is specialized carving tool for wood. Chip knife is used by a technique in which small parts of material are chipped away from processed wood. Chip carving knives have a straight blade and usually have a sharp point at the end, which allows the carver to create fine details and precise cuts by placing a finger on the tip of the blade. They are used to create geometric patterns such as squares, triangles, rhombuses and to complete details in hard-to-reach places.
