Knives Niolox steel
Knives with Niolox steel. Niolox is semi-stainless tool steel from the German manufacturer Lohmann. It combines high corrosion resistance and very good edge retention. Thanks to the niobium content, Niolox steel is very fine-grained, which helps the edge stability. The hardness of the steel varies between 58 - 63 HRC. Niolox is comparable to D2 steel, but has even better edge retention and toughness.
Steel composition: 0,8% Carbon, 12,7% Chromium, 1,1% Molybdenum, 0,9% Vanadium and 0,7% Niobium.
