Knives CTS XHP Steel

Knives with CTS XHP Steel. CTS XHP steel is a stainless, air-hardening steel from the American manufacturer Carpenter. Patented in 1994, CTS XHP steel was designed as a steel that combines the best properties of 440C and D2 steels.

CTS XHP steel combines high hardness (up to 64 HRC), high wear resistance, and high corrosion resistance.

Despite its high hardness, sharpening CTS XHP is relatively easy. It sharpens substantially easier than stainless steels with a high vanadium content (e.g., M390, S90V, etc.).

Steel composition: 1.60% carbon, 16% chromium, 0.80% molybdenum, 0.50% manganese, 0.45% vanadium, 0.4% silicon, 0.35% nickel.
