Hollow Grind Knives
Hollow grind knives are recognizable by the concave shape of the blade and a micro-bevel finish. This type of grind has very good cutting properties because the edge itself is very thin. Its disadvantage is that, in the case of large concave curvatures, it can be more difficult to sharpen. The hollow grind is used less frequently by knife manufacturers than, for example, the flat grind. We most often encounter the hollow grind in hunting knives or straight razors.
