Knives Aogami - Blue Paper Steel
Knives with Aogami Steel. Aogami steel (Blue Paper Steel) is a premium, high-carbon tool steel manufactured by Hitachi Metals in Japan. It builds on the fundamental purity of Shirogami steel, but it is alloyed with the addition of elements that significantly improve its performance, such as chromium for better corrosion resistance or tungsten for improved wear resistance. The name "Blue Paper Steel" comes from the blue paper in which the steel was historically wrapped to differentiate it from the white (Shirogami).
