Knives CPM-S90V steel
Knives with CPM S90V steel. S90V is premium stainless steel produced by the particle metallurgy process, from the US manufacturer Crucible Industries. CPM S90V steel is characterized by a very high carbon content (2,3%) and an extremely high vanadium content (9%). Thanks to these elements, S90V has excellent wear resistance and edge retention. The high proportion of chromium ensures very good corrosion resistance. It is one of the few highest quality steels for the production of knives today. Its only disadvantage is very difficult sharpening.
Steel composition: 2,3% carbon, 14% chromium, 9% vanadium, 1% molybdenum, 0,5% manganese, 0,5% silicon, 0,4% tungsten, 0,04% phosphorus, 0,03% sulfur.
