Ceramic sharpening rods
By using a ceramic honing steel, you can keep your knives sharp for a longer period and won't have to sharpen them as often. Ceramic steels are made from hard ceramic, allowing you to use them on harder steel—they can sharpen knives with steel hardness up to 65 HRC.
Ceramic steels are sensitive to sudden impacts (such as falling to the floor), so please handle them with care.

When to Use a Ceramic Honing Steel
A ceramic honing steel removes only a negligible amount of material, which allows you to use it comfortably every day. People tend to favor it because it is less aggressive than a diamond steel while still being sufficient for the sharpening process.
