EDC knives
The abbreviation EDC stands for the term Everyday Carry. These are knives for routine carrying, or in other words, for daily use. These knives can be folding (pocket knives) or fixed-blade. However, they should always be lightweight, compact, and highly portable. Simply put, an EDC knife is the ideal companion for city life, but it can also hold its own in the wilderness.

EDC knives are designed for simple everyday tasks such as opening boxes and envelopes, cutting food, slicing cords, or other minor tasks. They are not built for chopping wood.
They are typically small and light, allowing for comfortable carrying in a pocket or on a belt without getting in the way. Most EDC knives also feature practical pocket clips, allowing you to attach the knife not only to your belt but also, for example, to your trouser pocket.
Accessories and Knife Care
Proper subsequent care is an important part of working with knives. Every knife should be sharp enough to fulfill its basic function. To ensure your knife remains functional for longer, regular maintenance is essential.
