Knives 1066 (65G, 65Mn) steel
Knives with 1066 Steel. Carbon steel 1066 (also referred to as 65G or 65Mn) belongs to the American 10XX series. It is very similar to 1055 steel but with a slightly higher carbon content (approximately 0.66% carbon), which gives it slightly better edge retention while still maintaining its key characteristic: high toughness. Its popularity lies in the great balance between performance, durability, and affordability.
