Knives with 8Cr13MoV Stainless Steel. 8Cr13MoV stainless steel is quite popular among knifemakers. It is affordable and frequently used in the manufacturing of, for example, EDC pocket knives. It offers excellent corrosion resistance and holds an edge well thanks to the addition of vanadium and a high carbon content. It is also relatively easy to maintain.
