How to work with leather for stroping?
Place the blade of the knife on the leather strap and make gentle movements in the direction of the edge across the entire surface of the leather. Be careful to point the blade away from you to avoid cutting into the leather. You don't have to worry about the angle of sharpening being completely accurate. Simply continue sharpening until you are satisfied with the sharpness of the tool.
