Product detailed description

Samura kitchen knives from the Sultan series present unique and in our region very unconventional types of kitchen knives, inspired by ancient oriental knives. Pichak (or Pchak) is a traditional knife used in the Far East or Central Asia. They combine thin and extremely sharp blade made of Japanese damascus steel (67 steel layers, hardness up to 61 HRC) with a very durable handle made of composite G10 material. They come in a fancy paper-plastic package which makes them a great gift.

The knife has a handle made of composite G10 material, which is very durable, waterproof and pleasant to touch.

The blade from a single piece of Japanese damascus steel with a smooth edge is 21 cm long. The Kayik blade shape is commonly used in Central Asia as a universal kitchen knife for all tasks, from meat processing to slicing and chopping small vegetables.

Use: chef's knife with a wide and slightly bent blade for quick and effective slicing of vegetables, herbs or even meat.

Maintenance: We recommend handwashing the knife with dish soap in a separate container of water, as it is not suitable for use in a dishwasher.

Samura knives

Samura is a modern manufacturer of Japanese kitchen knife, which produced knives together with Mcusta in the past. Since 2010 Samura has been producing knives under its own brand. Samura kitchen knives present a combination of Japanese and European kitchen knives. Compared to traditional Japanese knives, Samura knives are made of stainless steel and are less brittle, eliminating the possibility of the blade chipping off. At the same time, they retain the excellent cutting properties typical for Japanese knives.

Samura knives are made of high quality Japanese stainless steel with hardness of 58-61 HRC. The manufacturer uses AUS-8, AUS-10, VG-10, or damascus steel. The handles are also made of first class materials such as G10, micarta, rosewood or ABS plastic.

Samura kitchen knives are a symbiosis of Japanese and European kitchen knives. Compared to traditional Japanese knives, Samura knives are made of stainless steel and are less fragile, thus eliminating the possibility of breaking the blade. However, at the same time, they retain the excellent cutting properties so typical of Japanese knives. Samura knives are sharpened at an angle of 17 degrees, more than Japanese knives but less than European knives. The blades have a Japanese shape and fine taper from the spine, which gives them their fantastic cutting performance.

Kitchen knives Samura are made of quality Japanese or Swedish stainless steel with a hardness of 58-61 HRC. Mostly used steels are AUS-8, AUS-10, or damascus steel with VG-10 core. The handles are also made of first-class materials such as G10, micarta, ABS plastic.
