Product detailed description

Samura kitchen knives from the MO-V series provide the ideal combination of Japanese steel, long term reliability, and timeless design. At the same time, they also combine the best features of Japanese and European kitchen knives.

The knife has ahandle made of modern composite G10 material, which is very durable, waterproof, and feels very nice to touch.

The blade from a single piece of Japanese stainless steel AUS-8 with a smooth edge is 9 cm long. The AUS-8 steel is much more durable than other ordinary kitchen knife steels and retains its sharpness better. It is also relatively easy to sharpen well.

Use: small kitchen knife mainly suited for tasks with fruits and vegetables such as peeling and slicing.

Maintenance: We recommend washing by hand with a dish soap in its own water, the knife is not dishwasher safe.

Samura knives

Samura is a contemporary manufacturer of Japanese kitchen knives.hey initially collaborated with Mcusta in the past, but since 2010, Samura has been producing knives under its own brand. Samura kitchen knives combine elements of both Japanese and European culinary traditions. Unlike traditional Japanese knives, Samura knives are crafted from stainless steel, making them less prone to brittleness and blade chipping while maintaining the outstanding cutting performance typical of Japanese knives.

These high-quality Samura knives are fashioned from Japanese stainless steel with a hardness rating ranging from 58 to 61 HRC. The manufacturer utilizes materials such as AUS-8, AUS-10, VG-10, or damascus steel for the blade, and the handles are crafted from premium materials like G10, micarta, rosewood, or ABS plastic.

Samura kitchen knives are a symbiosis of Japanese and European kitchen knives. Compared to traditional Japanese knives, Samura knives are made of stainless steel and are less fragile, thus eliminating the possibility of breaking the blade. However, at the same time, they retain the excellent cutting properties so typical of Japanese knives. Samura knives are sharpened at an angle of 17 degrees, more than Japanese knives but less than European knives. The blades have a Japanese shape and fine taper from the spine, which gives them their fantastic cutting performance.

Kitchen knives Samura are made of quality Japanese or Swedish stainless steel with a hardness of 58-61 HRC. Mostly used steels are AUS-8, AUS-10, or damascus steel with VG-10 core. The handles are also made of first-class materials such as G10, micarta, ABS plastic.
